⁶ You have put me in ^(A)the depths of the pit,
    in the ^(B)regions dark and ^(C)deep.
⁷ Your wrath ^(D)lies heavy upon me,
    and you overwhelm me with ^(E)all your waves. Selah
⁸ You have caused ^(F)my companions to shun me;
    you have made me ^(G)a horror^[a] to them.
